HOCKEY’S #1 CONDITIONING CAMP
Phillips Hockey Boot Camp is a 1-2 week rigorous training camp for ages 12 and up. The camp consists of daily on and off-ice training sessions along with classroom instruction of specific skills and how to develop them at home. Our superior conditioning program combines the use of off-ice pliometrics to reinforce the players on-ice strength.
Daily ice sessions consist of 2 hours of intense skating designed to replicate game situations. Each drill covers a specific skill and is explained and demonstrated prior to its execution by the students. Students will learn the proper technique to gain maximum power with minimal effort and how to conserve energy during a game.
The success of this camp will very upon the individual efforts of its students. All of those who register will be expected to give 100% of their effort and to listen to what the instructors have to say. The progress of each student will rely solely on the effort put forth by that particular individual. The instructors will push the students only to the point where they learn to develop themselves. This will instill greater self-confidence in each player and allow for more rapid improvement.
Boot Camp is usually run during the months of June, July, and August, but may also be held at various times throughout the year. The Boot Camp staff is also available to run personal Boot Camps for teams during the season, as well as, in the off season. The cost of the camp will vary according to the time period and availability of ice time.
